Why we're building Agora
Buying anything significant in Canada means chasing quotes. You call around, repeat yourself five times, wait on callbacks, and still end up wondering whether the number you got was fair. On the other side, businesses pay for the same tired leads, resold to four competitors, most of whom never pick up.
We think it should work the other way around. You post once. Businesses come to you. You stay anonymous until you decide who you want to talk to.
That's the original agora — the open square where people met and haggled face to face — rebuilt for how Canadians actually buy now.
What we're building
A marketplace that runs in reverse. Instead of searching, comparing tabs, and filling out five contact forms, you describe what you need once and let verified businesses compete for it — with real negotiation, digital contracts, and reviews that only come from completed jobs.
Where we are today
Agora is in beta. The platform is live, you can post a listing and receive bids right now, and we're onboarding our first verified businesses province by province. Categories and features are still being added. We're a small team building this in the open — if something's missing or broken, email us and you'll get a real reply.
